Bird-watching is one of the many interests in this area, even from this five acre, spectacular, sub-tropical garden many species are spotted, including kingfishers, woodpeckers, ospreys and even a hoopoe spent a few weeks here in Spring 2005!

Higher Beeson House is not far from Start Point and Prawle Point which are both stunning locations and it is only a 5 mile drive to the Salcombe estuary at East Portlemouth where the little passenger ferry boat can take you across to Salcombe.
